The following text was previously published on one of the platforms dedicated to organizing social and political support for independent workers’ struggles. During a certain period, this platform played an important role in highlighting workers’ initiatives and reflecting concrete struggles taking place at the workplace level.
As the need to develop this work on a broader political, theoretical, and internationalist level has become increasingly evident, this text is now republished on the website of the Internationalist Workers’ Organization (IWO).
This republication should not be understood merely as the reproduction of a past document, but as part of an ongoing process in which practical experiences of workers’ struggles are connected to a broader theoretical and organizational development.
The text should therefore be read in light of this transition: from a specific support platform to an internationalist structure aiming to develop analysis, organization, and political intervention on a wider scale.
Continuation of the Struggle – from Pedagogiskt Arbete to IWO
This page was originally created with the aim of organizing social and political support for independent workers’ struggles, as well as reflecting the activities of the workplace bulletin/association in organizing independent struggles at the workplace.
During this period, the page functioned as a tool for spreading solidarity and making workers’ struggles visible. As this wave of protests subsided and the struggle once again became concentrated at the workplace level, the supportive activity of the page also decreased. This did not indicate that the struggle had ceased, but rather reflected the concrete mechanisms of class struggle and the balance of forces between workers and employers at the workplace.
In a situation where the global transformations of capitalism and the necessity of initiating a new phase of political–theoretical activity have become increasingly evident, this page now continues its activity within the framework of the Internationalist Workers’ Organization (IWO).
This transition represents a conscious shift of part of our resources and focus, from practical activity—which is always local and rooted in concrete workplaces—to the political–theoretical sphere, a sphere that is essential for formulating, developing, and advancing internationalist positions and perspectives.
Accordingly, this page will henceforth function as the Facebook page of the Internationalist Workers’ Organization and will be dedicated to publishing analyses, positions, and theoretical interventions of this organization.
