Following a series of conferences and seminars on methods of struggle and the organization of independent workers’ struggles, another conference was held focusing on experiences and strategies of independent struggle. A detailed report on this conference, which was conducted in English, has been published by friends from the movement “Equality Movement – Everything for Everyone.” It goes without saying that, in addition to these brief political reports, the substance of these discussions—together with our other practical and theoretical experiences—will be published in the form of pamphlets and books whenever the need arises.

The invited guests to this panel included the protest movement of the domestic service sector in Stockholm, the Pedagogical Workers’ Association from Gothenburg, and the trade-union movement COBAS from Italy. Each of them briefly outlined the main lines of their organized struggles and the specific experiences related to them. The presentations by Iraj and Lina from the pedagogical association were the result of concrete studies and practical experiences concerning changes in socio-economic structures, new forms of management, and their impact on the mechanisms of workers’ struggle. The experience of the long-term workers’ struggle in Partille and the politicization of this struggle was discussed as a concrete example of the possibility of advancing a strategy of organization based on workplace struggle.

example and an empirical demonstration of the possibility of advancing a strategy of organization based on the mechanisms of struggle within the workplace, which was well received by the participants.

The COBAS movement also discussed the experience of organized workers’ struggle in Italy and the creation of social centers by this movement. The central theme of their discussion was their experiences with methods of confronting employers, with a focus on expanding and socializing the struggle and on the achievements related to it. Other participants from the so-called workers’ uprising in the service and healthcare sector of Stockholm spoke about the experience of organized protests in this sector and about the ways employers use modern tools to control workers and impose greater pressure on them.
