The devastating war currently raging between the reactionary regimes of the Islamic Republic and the Zionist state is neither defensive nor liberating. This bloody confrontation between two imperialist executioners, using deceptive slogans, is sending the working masses to their deaths. Their bombs are not limited to military targets but will destroy workers’ homes, schools, hospitals, and all urban infrastructure. This horrific war will create millions of refugees and widespread famine. Before the disaster becomes complete, we must rise up against this deadly war.
The authoritarian Iranian regime, under the false pretense of “defending Palestine,” continues its domestic repression – the same we witness in Iran’s streets. The fascist Israeli government, under the hypocritical banner of “security,” is extending the Gaza massacres to Iran. Both warmongering states are inciting religious and chauvinist sentiments to pit the workers and people of both countries against each other. The catastrophic consequences of this war will be nothing less than complete destruction of vital infrastructure, mass slaughter, unprecedented economic pressures, and widespread misery.
By forming anti-war councils and creating committees in workplaces and communities, let us rise against this horrific war. Anti-war councils can build social networks and organize the anti-war movement. Through international networks and solidarity between Iranian and Israeli workers, these committees can paralyze the war machines of both states.
Anti-war institutions in workplaces and communities can transform into centers for social and economic administration during the post-war crisis. These councils can become dual-power institutions that prevent proxy forces from seizing power after the military collapse of the regimes.
