Internationalist Courier returns—a journal whose theoretical debates and political critiques influenced the alignments of the Iranian left during its first series and raised questions that confront the workers’ movement with renewed force today.

These twenty-five years marked a pause in publication; theoretical work and participation in workers’ struggles continued. The second series draws on research, criticism and experience of organising within the workers’ movement: an endeavour to bring Marxism back into the struggle and open the way to rebuilding proletarian internationalism.

From a rereading of the Internationalist Workers’ Organisation’s platform to the theory of the historical crisis in the total reproduction of capital, from China and state capitalism to the struggles of Hyundai workers, the first issue pursues a central question: how can scientific knowledge of capitalism, criticism of historical experience and the living force of workers’ struggles be brought together in an independent revolutionary politics?

With this issue, Internationalist Courier presents the results of its work for study, criticism and debate, determined to contribute to rebuilding the working class’s political and international horizon. The first issue of the second series is published in Persian, English and Swedish.
